Tour experience

Your evening begins with a convenient pick-up from your hotel, residence or a central meeting point in Dubai. You’ll travel by shared vehicle (4Γ—4, bus or coach depending on the option) out towards the desert, leaving the city lights behind. On arrival at the camp area, you’ll be welcomed with traditional Arabic hospitality – often including Arabic coffee, dates and a friendly greeting from the camp staff.

Once inside the Bedouin-style camp, you’ll have time to explore the different activity corners at your own pace. You can enjoy a short camel ride for photos, try basic henna painting (usually for ladies), take pictures in traditional Arabic dress or with a falcon (if available), and relax on low cushions and carpets in the majlis seating. Soft drinks, tea, coffee and water are typically available throughout the evening, so you can sit back and enjoy the desert atmosphere.

As the sun sets and the evening cools down, the BBQ buffet dinner opens. You’ll find a mix of Arabic and international dishes – grilled meats, rice, salads, side dishes and desserts – plus vegetarian options. After dinner, the entertainment program begins on the central stage, with performances such as Tanoura dance, fire show and belly dance (as per camp program and local regulations). When the show finishes, you’ll board your vehicle again for the comfortable ride back to Dubai, arriving at your hotel or drop-off point with a full stomach and great memories of your desert evening.
